Privacy
Your family's privacy, in plain words
We built FirstSown for our own homeschool first. We hold your family's information the way we'd want ours held — kept small, kept safe, and never sold.

The short version
You, the parent, are the account holder. About each child we store only three things: a first name, an avatar color, and their typing scores. No ads. No trackers on the screens your children use. We never sell anyone's data.
The parent is the account holder
One adult creates the family account with an email address and a password. That email is how we reach you and how you sign back in — it belongs to you, not to your children. A short PIN protects the parent area so kids stay in the typing course.
What we store about your children
For each child profile, we keep only:
- a first name (or a nickname — whatever you type in)
- an avatar color they pick
- their typing progress: lessons finished, words per minute, accuracy, and stars
We never ask children for an email address, a last name, a birthday, a photo, or anything else. A first name is all the app needs to greet them.
No ads, no trackers on kid screens
There is no advertising anywhere in FirstSown, and the screens your children use carry no third-party tracking or analytics pixels. Nobody is profiling your kids while they learn to type.
Deleting a profile deletes its data
Remove a child's profile and everything tied to it — the name, the color, and all of that child's scores — is permanently deleted. It isn't archived or held in the background. If you close the whole family account, all of it goes with it.
The waitlist email
If you join the waitlist, we use your email address for one thing: to write to you when new FirstSown apps are ready. No selling, no sharing, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
Scripture
Every verse in the course is quoted from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain.
